What I do with Connor's preschool stuff is I have a big binder and I put clear sheet protectors with his drawings, etc on both sides. Then I guess when it gets full, I'll start over. I like your idea of taking a picture of everything. I'll have to try that when the binder gets full and then we can toss everything...maybe let him keep 2 things. (He forgets about stuff in there too, so that helps!) That IS a good idea! Some really cute ideas I've seen (and for super cheap) are a line along the wall with clothespins holding up the art... and only what fits goes up, and the child can decide which ones to replace when new work goes up. Finally, making place mats out of them (and birthday cards) by either laminating them, or using the clear version of that stuff you use to line drawers or shelves (can't remember what it's called). At the end of every year I will get the blog made into a book of all his art etc! Isn't it difficult when you feel that EVERYTHING done by your child should be a "keepsake"?! Abby has a box that she keeps all of her projects from school, etc. in. Each month we go through the box and she picks a few things to keep. It does help with the "pack rat" issue and we still keep a few of those precious "gems"! :) What a great idea to take a photo!
