Memory Game

I have not done these little blog world games yet, but I saw this one on my cousin Angie’s blog and thought it sounded fun.

Here’s how it works:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn’t matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It’s actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I’ll assume you’re playing the game and I’ll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don’t want to play on your blog, or if you don’t have a blog, I’ll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Memories memories…The good old married student ward, you showing up in your pre baby clothes like two days after giving birth, borrowing your jogging stroller to walk Dayton to my car at the shop and then not being able to figure out how to close it! Helping Ruth clean as you’re taping everything off for paint because you were moving in. And lunch when Ava and Dayton and Lilly were so tiny!! We need to get together!

We were all bridesmaids at Angie’s wedding, and it seemed like every third person asked if you and Ruth and Angie were triplets or just sisters.

Ok, so I remember so many things with you guys, but I’m going to go with our trip backpacking through the Narrows! How fun was that?! We must do that again someday without kiddos!

My very first memory of you was meeting you in our intro to PR class and walking across the quad together. Then the memories just get better from there, but I will always treasure our winter running outside together and going to Spring Creek Fitness. You are my favorite running partner of all time.

Sorry it took me so long to do this! I remember having sleep overs at your house and trying to stay up all night! We’d make cookies, clean out your “junk” drawer or go for an early morning bike ride.

By they way, it’s been awhile since I read anyone’s blog and I love all the pics of the girls! The swiming ones are so cute! Ava’s bike is so cute! How fun for her. You seriously look like a knock out drop dead gorgeous babe in that picture of you, Emily and Ruth!

Hey Rachel!
I’ve been totally bored this last week and I found your blog. Just wanted to say hello. A memory of you I have is when you hit your head on the diving board and got that scar between your eyes. That always helped me tell you and Ruth apart. (Until I got to know you better.)
Your family is darling!

I have so many random and great memories of us! I remember chasing JR Hoggan,( wait is that right? maybe Jeremy Hansey…you’ll have to remind me) on the playground. I remember the wave bangs. I remember being models in your bedroom with professional backdrop. I remember you dancing with my mom in the kitchen to the Judds. I remember you comforting me when I was sure my life would end up in a place I didn’t want. I love our friendship and am grateful it has such a long history!

I remember going to your birthday party when you lived in college ward (I think that was it). I remember thinking that you had such a nice family and there was so much love in your home. I remember it was a really fun party.

Rachel - I have so many great memories. Some of my best are going running together in the mornings. It was the best way to start my day!

Rachel! I was so happy to be looking around and find your family website! It’s so cute. A memory I have of you is swimming laps at a really early hour in a freezing pool! I also will never forget seeing you and Steve’s smiling faces in the temple with us. We miss you! Keep in touch. Here is our family blog, it’s just started so don’t laugh at how sad it is. http://themaretts.blogspot.com

I remember the first day of 6th grade. You were in my class, but I said HI to Ruth in the hall and she had no idea who I was. You guys were so nice about it, though ;) We’ve been buddies ever since!

I remember piano recitals and wish I could only be as good as the Whitney girls! I remember our ward with Bish. Weston and chillin’ with you on the organ. I remember eating cream cheese on crackers in the Milieu office (you naughty girl that introduced me to that!). And sleeping on the stupid mattress in our ghetto hotel for High Point. I miss you!

Hey, I am changing my blog to invit only so can I get your e-mail address so I can shoot you over an invite? Thanks! cassiostler@hotmail.com

Thanks for the comment, isn’t it funny that I used to have a crush on you, Steve? :) I loved going through those pictures though, it was fun and to think that how’s we all met…So glad I met all you guys, you are still my favorite friends and mostly, I met Eric out of it!

Oh the memories! The first one that popped into my head was always teasing me about going to go cry in the corner, but that makes it sound like times with you weren’t a total blast, and they were.
Oh, I remember going to soccer practice with you guys and laughing *so hard* while waiting to be picked up.

P.S. I already did a memory game so you can post on that one if you want to.
